Product Description

Radium Engineering catch cans are equipped with huge 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffles, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits install through OEM holes and blend in seamlessly with the surrounding components. They do not vent to the atmosphere (VTA), therefore emissions and tracking are lawful. Closed-loop systems remove oil and sludge from PCV fumes before they are directed to the engine for combustion. For best performance, a closed-loop system also generates negative crankcase pressure. Moreover, closed systems keep undesired oil vapors out of the cabin. The dipsticks fitted into the catch cans make it simple to inspect the accumulated fluid. There is no need for any cutting, drilling, or permanent alterations.

With the included additional bracket, the CCV catch can is mounted to threaded bosses in the engine bay on the inside fender. The CCV catch can run inline between the crankcase vent (CCV) port and the intake pipe to retain factory functionality. With low loads, it is subjected to air pressure. While the engine is running at full throttle (WOT), the line will experience a strong flow from the crankcase into the intake system. This would generally result in an accumulation of oil and sludge in the air filter input pipe. This is captured by the CCV catch can, which promotes clean filtered air back into the intake.

NOTE

  • The CCV catch can kit does NOT address blow-by from the PCV side of the crankcase.
  • The CCV catch can kit is compatible and recommended to be used with the PCV catch can kit. See 20-0838 above.
