Large volumes of oil, in the form of vapors, can build up in your intake tube, and intake manifold runners, and even dilute your gas, lowering its octane rating, during the process of venting crankcase pressure back down your intake track. Since crankcase pressures rise with forced induction cars (such as supercharged and turbocharged), this occurs on all engines and is even worse. We have created an oil separator of our own invention to combat this. This item is made of rock-solid billet aluminum that has been milled. It has an O-ring seal to stop any leaks and a knurled tank base for simple removal to drain the used oil. A fine mesh stainless steel screen used for filtering captures tiny oil vapors and releases them when they become heavy enough to fall. After passing through an aluminum honeycomb filter that is 1/2" thick and 1/16" thick, they continue to grow bigger before falling to the bottom. The oil is too heavy to be fed into the intake by the time it passes past the filter. Although 3 oz of fluid may not seem like much, your PCV system shouldn't contain that much oil. The tank stores that much fluid. You won't ever fill it up, so drain it every 2000–3000 miles.
