About This Item

The HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers for the Honda S2000 are an amazing coilover for the street and occasional track day. HKS has done their research on US roads, fine tuning the shocks to keep them compliant on the street. You will be pleasantly surprised how comfortable these are for a full coilover. It is recommended to keep the coilover at the settings set by HKS for the best performance.

The S2000 application includes all necessary hardware for height adjustment, as well as rear dampening knob extenders that extent the adjustment knob to an accessible location.

I'd buy again

Shipping was smooth and on time. Installed the shocks using out of the box settings and they felt like a firm version of stock shocks but the car wasn't lowered enough for my taste. I've since eliminated the rear wheel gap and it' can probably go about another 1/2 inch lower in the rear. I have about an inch gap in the fronts and have shortened the front shocks to the lowest possible spec as per the specficied limits. I'm considering going lower but am weighing the risks of wearing out the dampeners because of being lower than recommended by the manufacturer. There's still plenty of thread on the shock to go lower and if I had to guess, I could probably take the fronts down another 4 inches. At the lower height the suspension still feels really good and I like it. It's a little bouncier but I haven't started messing with the stiffness settings yet. Over all I'm happy with these for the daily and sometimes spirited dirving that I do. If you want to slam, I'd recommend somthing else.

It got here when it said it would and I have already installed them and so far they are much better than the stock coilovers. They look amazing too. They provide much less body roll and a more responsive feel. I can't wait to try them out in autocross events.
