This improved 'working ratio' is achieved by increasing the effective surface area of the diaphragm and revising the actual springs installed, resulting in greater leverage of the forces the actuator is working against (boost and backpressure) while being extremely responsive. Upgrading with the same base pressure as the factory will result in a broader boost \u0026amp; torque curve due to the peak boost being attained earlier in the RPM range and being held longer into the higher RPM range. With larger base pressures, these gains can be enhanced.
