Subaru WRX 2015+ Performance Parts
When the Subaru Impreza was first introduced in 1992, it was available in both four-door sedan and five-door hatchback models with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. At that time, a turbo-charged, performance-based version dubbed the WRX was also brought to market. WRX, which stands for World Rally eXperimental (World Rally Cross), signifies the inclusion of rally-inspired technologies including turbo charging, special suspension and all-wheel drive.
Today, in its latest iteration, Subaru has dropped the “Impreza” part of the name altogether, utilized a new chassis (VA) and gone from the 2.5-liter boxer engine to a 2.0-liter direct-injection, twin-scroll turbo unit. This is a first in its departure from the WRX STi version, with which it has always shared engine types. This is why we now offer two separate categories for the 2015+ Subaru WRX and WRX STi performance car parts, although many of the 2015 WRX tuning parts are still interchangeable between the two.
